A Free Feel Good Flow for you π§π»ββοΈ + Join my Workshop next Sunday π«
A flowy pick-me-up practice and five reasons to join my yoga + creativity workshop next week!
Happy Sunday, friends! Iβm coming to you with a special offering today (that has taken me way longer than I care to admit. I have a newfound respect for any yoga video I have ever watched in the past) - a 20-Minute Feel Good Flow.
This is the perfect little pick-me-up practice after spending hours hunched over your computer. Or to start off your day in a mindful way! The focus of this flow is to mobilise your spine and to reconnect with your core so you can stand a little taller and move with more ease.
This practice is suitable for beginners so give it a try and let me know your thoughts! You can find it right here:
And if you liked this practice and live in Paris, why not come join my in-person yoga + creativity workshop next week? If you are undecided, let me share with you what you can get out of joining us.
1) Get clear on your (creative) goals, habits, and next steps
Now that summer is coming to an end, is there a big project that youβve promised yourself you would take on? Are there some changes you would like to make come the new academic year? Set yourself up for success by getting clear on where you are at right now, where youβd like to be and how you can get there.
We will walk through the process of goal setting step-by-step so you will leave the workshop with clarity on what to do next but also how to set and break down realistic goals for yourself in the future. Please note that while as a trained creativity coach, my focus is on creative projects, you do not need to have creative goals in mind or consider yourself a creative to benefit from the exercises we will be doing together.
2) Strengthen your mind-body connection
If there was a pill on the market that you could buy to improve your sleep, reduce your stress, and get a better grip on your emotions - would you be interested? I probably would be. But until that becomes a reality, I swear by rolling out my mat and doing my yoga practice. Being fully present, hearing your own breath and synching up your movements with your inhales and exhales does absolute wonders for your nervous system and your physical and emotional awareness. And the good news? There is no risk of side effects.
3) Learn different mindfulness and meditation techniques
A lot about getting clear on where you want to go is about letting go of the clutter in your mind. And the best antidote to that is mindfulness! We will be exploring different mindfulness practices together, including a vinyasa yoga flow, pranayama (breathing exercises), chanting, guided meditation and journalling. If any of these sound unfamiliar to you, do not worry! This workshop can serve as a wonderful introduction to different techniques.
4) Enjoy a mindful afternoon just for yourself
When was the last time you truly did something for yourself? Iβm not speaking about treating yourself to some chocolate or a movie. But when is the last time you worked on something that felt truly fulfilling to yourself? We often get so caught up in the little things that we forget to zoom out and look at the big picture. Take this opportunity for yourself to make space and work towards something that feels meaningful to you, no matter how big or small it may be.
5) Connect with like-minded people
Last, but not least, one of my personal favourite things about attending workshops and trainings is the opportunity to meet like-minded people! Especially as an expat finding the right community can be tricky at times. And thatβs why Iβm hoping that through this workshop, I can bring the right people together and help foster some meaningful connections. Itβs also, why Iβve decided to keep spots to a limited number only. In particular amongst creatives, having the right connections and collaborators can make a world of a difference! So come join us and make some new friends :)
