Everything about the Space_Holder Course
Join me for this 8-week mindfulness + creativity journey (online/in Paris)
What is the Space_Holder Course?
The Space_Holder Course is an 8-week course, accessible both in-person in Paris, and online. I designed this course to help you create space - both in your body while on the mat, and in your life off the mat for anything you want to pursue, be it a creative project, that good old passion of yours you’ve been wanting to bring back into your life, a side hustle, a new hobby, or simply a habit you’re trying to instil.
Each session will feature a mindful movement portion, alternating between Yin and Vinyasa classes each week (creating that perfect balance!), and a creativity coaching portion, which will include journaling, accountability, and discussion rounds within an inclusive and warm community of like-minded people (which is absolutely priceless!).
What are Yin and Vinyasa?
Yin and Vinyasa are two different styles of yoga. Yin Yoga is a slower type of yoga with longer holds that stress the fascia around our muscles. Vinyasa is a more dynamic type of yoga, where breath and movement are linked and we are flowing through a series of postures. We will alternate between both styles each week to create the perfect balance!
Is this course suitable for total beginners?
Absolutely! This course can serve as the perfect introduction into yoga. I will always offer modifications. In case no one has told you before: you do not need to be flexible in order to do yoga. It’s about connecting with your body and breath, and finding a pose that works for your body, not twisting your body into an impossible pose.
Is this course suitable for advanced students?
Yes! As with beginners, I am always happy to offer modifications. Besides, there are incredible benefits that go beyond the physicality of the practice that we will explore together. There are so many ways to go deeper in our practice.
What do I need to bring?
I recommend having a pen and dedicated notebook, so you have a place to collect your thoughts and check back on your progress and journey.
If you choose to join in person, I will have paper and pens available in case bringing a notebook slips your mind! Props and mats will be available, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
If you join us online, you want to have access to a yoga mat or carpet. As for props- let’s get creative! I always recommend a soft blanket, thick books that can be used as blocks, and a pillow or bolster. Please note that most of the time, props are optional. Modifications are always possible, so if you happen to only have your mat one day, we will make it work!
But most importantly: please come with curiosity and an open mind!
Will there be homework?
The short answer is: no! The long answer is- this isn’t really about homework specifically for this course, but changes, habits, and activities you want to instil in your everyday life. We will learn and speak a lot about intentions and choices, and I would hope that this will inspire some changes. So in a way, the ‘homework’ of this course is to do more for yourself and the life you would like to live. But how seriously you go about it is up to you!
Do I need to be a Creative?
Absolutely not! You do not need to consider yourself a creative or artistic person in any sense to participate. However, in my eyes, every human is a creative. It’s in our innate, human nature to create. Whether that is a piece of art, a home, a new habit, or the side hustle or project you’ve been dreaming about.
What if I can’t make all the sessions?
No worries at all! Life can happen, and that is completely normal. If you cannot make an in-person class, you can always join our online session for free. And if you cannot make the online session, there will be replays available! Working and going with the flow of life is one of our main principles on this course.
Do I have to commit to the entire 8 weeks?
No! While I highly recommend it for accountability and growth reasons, you can absolutely choose to just do part of the course or even just drop in, whenever you feel like it. I offer packages for the entire eight weeks, for four classes, and for single classes.
Can I do a trial class?
Yes! I offer an in-person trial class for 10€ and an online trial class for 5€. If you decide to purchase a four or eight class package, you’re eligible for a refund!
How much are the classes?
